The Source's park
The Source's park
This park situated to the north of Tours, streets ‘rue de la Source’ and ‘rue du President Coty’ belong to the Franciscan nuns servants of Mary. Since the summer 1996, it is opened to the public. An agreement between the city of Tours and the "Accueil Colbert La Source" organization enables the city to keepup this park during the opening all year long.
This park Colbert La Source, created in the 19th century, is 8000 m² wide. Between 1994 and 1996, the paths were shaped, the spring was sheltered, the ornamental lake was checked for leaks, and the flowing of the waters of the spring canalized. This park is a haven of peace and calmness.
