From the city centre, by bicycle, cross the Loire river thanks to the Saint-Symphorien suspension bridge, then go along the Loire to arrive to Saint-Radegonde’s park. Do not forget to take your picnic and to play with the outdoor playgrounds. This park built on a former golf in 1977 occupies a 14 hectare-hilly-space, and is a true recreation spot.
Large spaces of lawns, bunches of ordinary trees, some remarkable trees like a cedar of Himalaya, a beautiful specimen of firtree from Spain structure this spot. Playgrounds for children achieve a great success. A protected space with sikas deers spreads over 1.3 hectares. On the south west side of the park, a planting of prunus trees given by the Japanese city of Takamatsu has the cathedral as a backdrop.
