Why classify your guest house?
In France, there is no established State classification for Guest houses as there is for other types of tourism accommodation.
The Office de Tourisme de France ® wishes to contribute to the development of the qualification of tourist accommodation through the establishment of a National Repository of Guest Houses and provide the possibility for guest houses to ensure the quality of their offer.
This national repository therefore perfectly complements the existing labels.
It establishes a quality guarantee for the owner and the client and favours a positive image of the tourist destination, both in France and abroad.
The advantages of receiving a classification Chambre d'hôtes Référence ®
> Heritage value: qualifying your accommodation assigns it a level of comfort, quality of welcome, services and equipment. The star ranking is a guarantee of quality for customers, allowing them to quickly identify the level of service offered.
> Reassure the customer: the ranking ensures strict adherence to a national uniform standard of comfort and service symbolized by a number of stars.
> Stand out from the competition and strengthen your market position: With the star classification, the owners visibility is improved. Requesting a classification allows the owner to take stock of the commercial positioning of their accommodation according to its specific nature, its geographical location and its strategic possibilities.
> Better promotion: classified accommodation benefits from a listing on www.touraineloirevalley.com, the departmental website. Only qualified accommodation (classification or label) is integrated into the tourism platform. Only accommodation with a national qualification or membership of a label is integrated tourist platform of the department. In some tourist offices, promotion or development of differentiated accommodation is conditioned by obtaining a qualification or certification.
> Neutrality of the qualification process: Touraine, like other destinations in France, has decided to engage in this qualification process, entrusting this task to the Accommodation Service Tours Loire Valley Tourist Office. However, after the inspection visit, the decision will be taken neutrally by a departmental committee.
