In Seville at the beginning of the 19th century, Rosine, a young orphan girl, is held captive by her old tutor Dr Bartholo. Promised a forced marriage when she turns 18, she falls in love with a mysterious lover who is secretly courting her. It is none other than Count Almaviva who, with the help of his former valet, the mischievous barber Figaro, will try to rescue her... Any stratagem will do to free a captive from her tyrant!
