“Christmas in the Land of Castles” day

    FRIDAY DECEMBER 22, 2023
Discover the castles of Chenonceau, Amboise and the Royal City of Loches

With exceptional tour around the major Christmas themes: it’s Christmas in the land of castles.

Departing from the Tourist Office in Tours, leave in an 8-seater minibus for an excursion including 3 visits.

    IN THE MORNING

THE ROYAL CITY OF LOCHES “The tales of the Royal City - Once upon a time”. A tale, but what tale? This year, three princesses meet at the Royal City of Loches for an imaginary story in which young and old will happily find all the magical ingredients: a carriage that flies away, an evil queen, a mysterious forest... Blanche- Snow, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty come to Loches Castle for an amazing Christmas.

    Free lunch in Loches.

    IN THE AFTERNOON

THE CASTLE OF CHENONCEAU. “Chenonceau, a Palazzo on the water”. Chenonceau, which owes everything to Italy, from Venice to Florence, will cultivate this Christmas 2023 the art of entertaining and the codes of reception, in order to welcome its guests for a day with excellence. An identity and displays of flowers, all creations of the Château Floral Workshop and its scenographer M.O.F, as close as possible to the pageantry and splendor of a Palace. Timeless bouquets, mono or bifloral compositions, symmetry, symphony of orchids... A luxurious and luxuriant shower of flowers. Children will have the joy of discovering barley sugars and other giant candies in the monumental kitchens specially created by the Conservatoire de la Confiserie d’Amboise! If the definition of a Palace is to contribute to the influence of French culture, then these Christmas celebrations will be a meeting between history and floral art, in an exceptional residence!

THE CASTLE OF AMBOISE. “Christmas, childhood dreams: The mini worlds of Christmas. Journey into the world of the film Léo and great, tiny joys.” On the occasion of the release of the animated film Léo, the royal castle of Amboise is exhibiting around ten magnificent models from the filming. Installed in the decorated rooms of the royal home, these little worlds filled with poetry resonate with the atmosphere of the Christmas holidays and take us back to the joys of childhood dreams. The journey then continues towards other delightful tiny countries, between miniature toys from the collections of the Wambrechies museum and dioramas of small lead characters from the Mignot house. This year in Amboise, “Christmas in the Land of Castles” is changing dimensions!

This excursion is available on FRIDAY DECEMBER 22, 2023.

Guaranteed departure from 4 people, we will confirm the excursion depending on how full the minibus is.
