“La Majestueuse” is a 12 km descent between Montlouis-sur-Loire and Tours (suitable for families, offering a magical day with a taste of adventure! The journey begins by minibus from Tours to Montlouis-sur-Loire, where the trip starts.

We also offer paddleboard hire - stand-up or sit-down, alone or in a group - so come and discover this fun activity. You can try your hand at this water sport or simply sunbathe on the board in the middle of the water!

Practical informations

Safety guidelines must be followed when boarding on the Loire:

You must be able to swim;
The minimum age is 6 years;
Wearing a life jacket is compulsory;
Water shoes or closed-toe shoes are compulsory;
You must return before the site closes;
Respect for nature: do not throw rubbish into the water or onto the banks;
Do not climb onto the toues (Loire boats);
It is strictly forbidden to disembark on the protected islands (to preserve the tern species that nest there), on pain of a fine.

Swimming is prohibited. The Loire is a wild river with currents that can be dangerous. Do not disembark in areas near dams or bridges.
