Sacred music concert at the Basilique Saint-Martin de Tours in aid of the restoration of the Fontaine de Beaune-Semblançay, a masterpiece of Renaissance Touraine. L'Ensemble la Sportelle, under the direction of Owain Park, invites you on a spiritual and musical journey through the centuries. At the heart of this programme, the piece Media vita by Kerensa Briggs, inspired by an 11th-century Gregorian antiphon, unfolds as a deeply moving meditation on the fragility of life and the hope of salvation. Around this central work, Owain Park brings together jewels of ancient polyphony by Obrecht, Byrd, Victoria, Gesualdo, alongside pages of profound beauty by Górecki, Łukaszewski, McDonald, McKevitt, and Pärt.
