For those with an independent spirit, discover Touraine from your own base, for a weekend or a longer holiday… Tours and the Loire Valley offer a selection of furnished accommodation to suit your taste and your budget. Whether in the city centre, in the countryside, among the vineyards, or on the banks of the Loire, you'll find yourselves in a comfortable and quality environment.
The cottage is the perfect place to stay with family, friends, or for a birthday at the heart of Touraine, where famous castles are located. This large XIXth century house, located in the middle of the village was restored in 2018 by Mélanie and Eric, who value its welcome. Either you can use the large kitchen fully equipped to prepare your meals, or you can book a table at the restaurant next door. 7 km away from the cottage, the nice lake of Hommes is an unmissable place to swim, play on inflatable structures on water, or to enjoy other water activities. The beautiful château de Langeais and the vineyards are 15mn’ drive. Very close, you can tackle trails crisscrossing our area hiking or cycling.
Between town and country, on the outskirts of Tours, La Closerie du Puits is a restored 19th-century house with a well-kept interior and a vast, beautifully landscaped 100 m² courtyard. On the St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimage route and not far from the Loire à Vélo cycle route, this is the ideal place to stay for a couple or with a child (sofa bed in the living room). The Guinguette in St-Avertin (all summer), the old town of Tours with its half-timbered houses on the famous Place Plumereau, the many châteaux of the Loire within easy reach, the many attractions and events in the Touraine region so dear to the Kings of France will delight you and confirm the slogan of our department, "Here, living is an art". You'll also be 40 minutes from Beauval zoo.
