Minibus excursions
Day 1: Half-day afternoon to...
...the Château d'Amboise. Perched on a hill, it offers breathtaking views of the Loire. A royal residence during the reigns of Kings Charles VIII and Francis I (late 15th-early 16th centuries), a prestigious example of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, it houses an exceptional collection of furniture. Leonardo da Vinci rests in the Saint-Hubert Chapel, an elegant 15th-century Flamboyant Gothic-style building.
... the Clos Lucé - Leonardo Da Vinci Park in Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci lived during the last years of his life. Discover his inventions, his drawings, and his passions. The landscaped trail offers an initiatory journey: giant machines, sound points, translucent canvases in a magnificent park. An inspiring visit for all art and science lovers.
Day 2: Day trip to...
...the Château de Blois. One of the most prestigious examples of Renaissance art in France, a perfect illustration of the evolution of French architecture from the Middle Ages to the 17th century. After exploring the courtyard and its famous spiral staircase, built during the reign of Francis I, you can discover the residence of Catherine de Medici and Henry III, which was the scene of the assassination of the Duke of Guise, and the Gaston d'Orléans wing designed by François Mansart.
Free lunch
...the Château de Chambord. More than five centuries after its construction, it still defies imagination: a 156-meter façade, 56 meters high, 440 rooms... It is the dream come true of a young 25-year-old king: Francis I, who wanted to build the most sumptuous hunting lodge that history has left us.
...the Château de Cheverny, which served as a model for Hergé's design of Moulinsart, will amaze you with the richness and density of its furnishings and the authentic and refined charm of its decoration. Still inhabited, this château invites you to discover a vibrant residence, blending tradition and modernity.
Dinner: End your day in style with dinner in a local restaurant, in a warm atmosphere.
Overnight stay in a charming hotel: Enjoy a relaxing night in a comfortable and welcoming hotel, recharging your batteries before a new day of exploration.
