No. 1 – Heritage and urban trail in Tours
This trail gives you a taste of the Tours heritage. Place Plumereau, Musée des Beaux-Arts, Église Saint-Julien, Hôtel Goüin, Arts district: watch the most beautiful buildings in Tours pass you by as you hike or run.
Level of difficulty: easy
Distance: 9 km
No. 2 – At the edge of the Loire river at Saint-Pierre-des-Corps
This loop introduces you to the city's market garden past and its allotments, but also along the Loire river you pass by the Île aux Vaches, Île des Buteaux, Île de la Métairie and enjoy a panoramic view of the hillsides and of Rochecorbon’s Lantern.
Level of difficulty: moderate
Distance: 12.5 km
No. 3 – Between vineyards and forests at Saint-Avertin
Hillsides where the AOC Touraine Noble-Joué vineyard stretches as far as the Bois des Hâtes, passing by the headstone erected in memory of the writer Paul-Louis Courier, take the Grande Randonnée hiking trails 655 and 46. With a little luck you will even catch a glimpse of the deer roaming free in the woods!
Level of difficulty: easy
Distance: 9.5 km
No. 4 – Family hiking trip at Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire
This itinerary is perfect for group outings. Accessible to all, it runs through the Parc de la Perraudière, a landscaped park where the Hôtel de Ville is located, but also a tree library, a model beehive and a mini-farm. You will also pass through the Parc de la Tour with its 19th century manor housing an exhibition centre with a puppet display. There’s one small problem: the staircase with one hundred steps (we’ll leave you to count them...!)
Level of difficulty: very easy
Distance: 5 km
